This is a description of how to use a HYERLE Bridge map, which is an excellent way of helping students to visualise analogies and models within abstract concepts.

As a teacher, this is a great way to see what students understand, and to pick up misconceptions that they have.

Using a bridge map is also a good way to help students reflect on their thinking and develop metacognition
